$7.6 Billion in Upcoming Relief to Include Look-Alikes

Look-Alikes are called out as eligible entities to receive a portion of the $7.6 billion set aside for community health centers “for COVID-19 vaccine distribution, promotion, administration and monitoring.” This detail is included in Section 3031 of the draft, proposed by the Energy and Commerce Committee. Below is a snapshot.

Section (aa)(4)(B) defines a Federally qualified health center as an entity which “based on the recommendation of the Health Resources and Services Administration within the Public Health Service, is determined by the Secretary to meet the requirements for receiving such a grant.” Therefore, it appears HRSA is relaying LAL eligibility and we thank them for this. Our sources have confirmed this to be the interpretation. We will keep you posted as this develops.

The issue remains, educating folks to the difference between FQHC grantees and Look-Alikes. Please consider using our page as a resource for your advocacy efforts. Thank you for all you do.
